ISCAR is introducing NAN3FEED, a new family of small-diameter fast feed (FF) milling tools carrying indexable single-sided triangular miniature inserts.

A new line of the smallest indexable inserts combined with small diameter multi-toothed endmill for high feed milling. The triangular geometry concept provides a minimum 8mm or .314 inches milling diameter. Due to the complete insert shape with no central screw hole, it is very strong and durable. Its clamping method utilizes a wedge-shaped screw head which assures no falling parts. Suitable for high ramp down angles in deep cavity high feed milling, the tool features through tool coolant for easy chip evacuation and high surface finish.

The new family applies the concepts presented by NAN3MILL, a family of small-size indexable 90° cutters recently introduced under the LOGIQ campaign, to the design of tools for fast feed milling (also referred to as “high feed milling” or “HFM”). 

The advanced design concept facilitates the addition of one more tooth than those existing in the indexable high feed milling (HFM) tools of the same diameter that are offered by our main competitors. The 8 mm diameter NAN3FEED tool could be considered as the smallest indexable HFM cutter with multiple inserts on the today market.
