11 May 2020 - Toyota Motor Thailand Co., Ltd declared the re-start of 2 shifts operation for the assembly lines of Toyota Samrong Plant, Samutprakarn and Toyota Banpho Plant, Chachoengsao, while Toyota Gateway Plant, Chachoengso we re-start its operation on 25 May 2020.

Toyota Motor Thailand Co., Ltd temporarily halted the production of the assembly lines based on the market demand in Thailand and export countries; global parts supply situation; among other factors. We also hoped to support the government’s efforts and directions in controlling the spread of the virus, by reducing the number of commuting employees during that period. During the halt, the company has consistently maintained and improved the production line, employees and parts preparation systems to ensure that the reopening of all Toyota’s three assembly plants will maintain their highest manufacturing standard and quality control as they have been in the past.

Therefore, we have implemented strict preventive measures in the company such as increasing cleaning rounds in the operation area, keeping social distancing between employees, having employees check their health condition and be kept sanitatized consistently, reducing surface touching in the plant and office, increasing bus service to reduce crowdedness during commute, issuing measures for rest area, cafeteria and restroom and requiring most employees to work from home.
