Thailand sees total investment of 10.54 billion baht from 114 new factories nationwide

The Department of Industrial Works (DIW), Ministry of Industry, has revealed the latest statistics on industrial factory licenses nationwide for September 2025. A total of 114 new factories were granted operating licenses, representing a combined investment value of 10,540.45 million baht.

Among them, Chonburi Province ranked first with 25 new factories and a total investment of 1,641.61​ million baht.

Top Provinces by Number of New Factories

For September 2025, the top three provinces with the highest number of factory approvals were:

  • Chonburi – 25 factories, 1,641.61​ million baht in total investment, 774 employees, and 11,167.64 horsepower in machinery capacity.

  • Pathum Thani – 22 factories, 986.15 million baht in total investment, 440 employees, and 11,351.82 horsepower in machinery capacity.

  • Chiang Mai – 7 factories, 485.30 million baht in total investment, 110 employees, and 3,756.73 horsepower in machinery capacity.

Top Provinces by Investment Value

When comparing by investment value, the top three provinces in September were:

  • Saraburi – 4,124.25 million baht
  • Chonburi – 1,641.61 million baht
  • Pathum Thani – 986.15 million baht
