Japan, September 6, 2024 – Sharp has officially entered the electric vehicle (EV) market, joining forces with its parent company, Hon Hai Precision Industry, to develop an innovative new electric vehicle set to launch in the next few years.

The concept model “LDK+” is a spacious 5-meter-long vehicle that reimagines the in-car experience as a living room. The rear seats swivel to face each other, creating a versatile space perfect for working, watching movies, or simply relaxing. A massive 65-inch display dominates the interior, further enhancing the living room ambiance.

Beyond its striking design, Sharp's EV is equipped with cutting-edge AI and IoT technologies that enable automated climate control and lighting. The system learns user preferences from other home devices, delivering a personalized and comfortable in-car experience.

"We aim to create an EV that goes beyond simply transporting you from point A to B," said Mototaka Taneya, Sharp's Executive Managing Director. "By blending advanced technology with a focus on comfort, we're delivering a superior driving experience."

Sharp's EV is poised to capture the attention of consumers seeking a vehicle that seamlessly blends technology and comfort. With its innovative features and stylish design, this EV is more than just a mode of transportation; it's a personal sanctuary for the digital age.
